ALL ABOUT ANTHONY
Recognized as the "indefatigable showman" (TimeOut NY), Anthony Fett is an award-winning host, singer, actor, cabaret artist, writer, director, and entertainer.
A MUSICAL FOUNDATION
Anthony made his professional debut at age six in The Lyric Opera of Chicago production of Puccini’s Turandot. He then joined The Chicago Children’s Choir, whom he sang with for 12 years. Anthony performed with the choir all over world, at countless venues including The White House and Carnegie Hall. The roster of musical talents he has been fortunate to work with includes Celine Dion, David Foster, Bobby McFerrin, Yolanda Adams, and his mentor and conductor, Josephine Lee.
Anthony studied at Franklin Fine Arts Center. He attended Whitney M. Young Magnet High School and participated in plays with The Company there. He attended Queen of Angels Catholic Church where he was a cantor. Anthony graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Hartt School at the University of Hartford.
ON STAGE
Anthony joined the Bohemian Theater Ensemble of Chicago and played Burrs in The Wild Party and Jojo in The Life. Favorite regional theater credits include Gad/ The Butler in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Show Palace FL), and Roger DeBris in The Producers (Franklin PAC, MA).
Anthony has performed new works at The Chicago Stages Festival, The Goodspeed, NYC Fringe, and NY Theater Barn. He played leading roles in the world premieres of James Rado’s Superdoldier in NYC, and Jai Utal’s Sita Ram with Lookingglass Theater at Ravinia Festival.
Anthony appeared in the National Tours of Bye, Bye Birdie and On Broadway! He understudied the roles of Lumiere and The Beast on the National Tour of Disney's Beauty and The Beast, helmed by the original creative team.
Anthony made his Off-Broadway debut when he joined ‘the Famiglia’ in the 25th Anniversary production of Tony n' Tina's Wedding in Times Square.
HOST
Anthony is a celebrated interpreter of the American songbook and a mainstay of the cabaret scene in NYC. As a teenager, he performed his first solo show at Davenport’s Cabaret, Chicago. Since then, he’s frequently performed at The Duplex, The Laurie Beechman Theater, 54 Below and more. He is the creator and host of Open Mic Piano Party at The Manhattan Monster Bar and Stonewall All Stars at the world famous Stonewall Inn.
Anthony loves to ‘make the Yuletide gay’ with his annual holiday show, Gayer Than Christmas. With his musical collaborators, Jason Wetzel and Lynn Portas, he creates signature arrangements as well as original music. His single, “Christmas is a Rainbow” is available on all music platforms.
Anthony’s work as an emcee extends beyond cabaret, where he is known for his appearances on the reality TV show, Dance Moms. Anthony served as the lead host of Energy National Dance Competition for five seasons, and his work won him the Dance Industry Award (ADCC) for “Outstanding Emcee/ Personality of the Year”.
DIRECTOR
Anthony has directed numerous cabarets and events. He directed Broadway performer Vasthy Mompoint’s Bits, Gummies, Folk & Love at 54 Below, and Josh Bardier’s Just in Time at The Triad Theater.
Inspired by his early experiences in opera, Anthony made his directorial debut in opera with Donizetti’s Rita: One Woman. Two Husbands, with Cassandra Douglas and the Litha Symphony Orchestra in NYC.
